iT's mY BiRThdaY...
Monday was such a special special day... I was spoilt rotten!!!
After a sleep in, we started the day with one of those amazing breakfasts that we have become quite accustomed to here in Phuket...
Then it was off to the Burasari Spa for some "tender loving care" -- Mary, Lena and myself enjoyed every minute of it...
Back to the poolside -- where we joined in the "all you can eat" bbq being offered to the hotel guests (and a few cocktails of course)... Feeling quite hot, we all returned to our private decks to cool off in the pool...
We were picked up from the hotel lobbv at 7.00 and taken to the Baan Rim Pa a very beautiful and well known restaurant here in Phuket. (google it if you get a chance) Translated the name means "house on the cliff" and it is just that... Our table for six was very private -- it was like a little gazebo that jutted out from the house and dangled in mid air above the sea -- I have never ever seen anything so beautiful and spectacular... My husband gets a 10 out of 10 for organizing this... During the evening every half hour or so there were fireworks on the beach and Sandy tried to tell me that he had organized them for me... I almost believed him!!!
I was lavished with gifts...
And then when I thought it just couldn't get any better, the staff of the restaurant began singing Happy Birthday and brought out a cake complete with 50 burning candles... more like a bonfire lol...
A big thank you to my wonderful hubby who is the "King of Surprizes" and has made my 50th into something so magical and special that I will treasure the memory for as long as I live...

Taking up from where I left off yesterday, the gang came back with bags of shopping (thai style of course)... so don't know if any of these will work as Joe screwed them down on the price -- apparently got them much lower than the "going rate"
Lena, Mary and I enjoyed our pampering so much that we are going back there at 1.00 pm today and again at 11.00 tomorrow... Turns out the guys (who had gone there for their massages the day before) left an everlasting impression!!!
Jon -- we finally found the seafood restaurant that you recommeded... Definitely going back...
After that it was a stroll down the Bangala Strip... What an eye-opener... All I can say is you definitely have to hang on tight to your man lol Thinking of going back tonight to see one of the shows!!!

Woke up this morning to "another day in paradise" and even the soggy blow fly I found floating in my fruit salad at breakfast is not gonna spoil my day!!!
The rest of the gang are off, yet again, on another shopping expedition whilst I've stayed back to dip in the pool, facebook, blog and catch some sunshine. When the girls get back we are all going to the SPA for some BURALICIOUS pampering...
We met Miss Wee our tour director yesterday -- Sandy was quite smitten by her and insisted on having a photo with her on his own... Lenny and I teased him after, telling him that Miss Wee was short for Miss Willy... hahahaha
Joe and Sandy together are like two little boys, just as well Lenny is here to keep them in line...
GO PIES...

Sandy is enjoying himself -- yet proving to be a bit of a handful in more ways than one, as he DOES NOT listen... Clearly when the doctor in Melbourne said NO SWIMMING, Sandy thought that meant he could get into the pool as long as he doesn't swim!!!

Arrived in Phuket after a not TOO BAD flight... Only eight and a half hours... Lena and Len had a window seat whilst Joe, Mary and us had the four seats in the middle... Luckily there were spare seats at the back of the plane and we banished Sandy and Joe there.. So Mary and I were able to stretch out in the four seats...
The hotel is called Burasari Resort and is the decor is very traditional Thai... Complimentary fruit on our arrival -- well at least we've started off on the right foot lol
Out for dinner once we settled in -- and had a banquet of seafood cooked for us... Check out the size of the tiger prawns... YUMDrank strawberry daiquiris to our hearts content (buy one get one free!!!) and on walking back to our hotel you could buy BACARDI Breezers on the side of the road for a couple of bucks -- so we downed a few of those... It's gonna be a great holiday !!!
PS: Sandy is loving all the attention he is getting with his sore hand!!! He told a couple of Thais on the street that he was a boxer with an injured hand lol and they came and asked me if it was true... Joe has been propositioned quite a number of times, so Mary has to keep an eye on him and Lenny - well he had his nipples pinched in the street... bahaha xxx
