Las Palmas De Mallorca...

Well no wonder Christopher Skaithe chose this place for his hide-out -- Good choice!!!
It is clean, friendly and beautiful... a true haven by the sea!!

As we did not have anything planned -- when we arrived Franca, Joe Sandy and I jumped into a taxi and it's driver "Maria" gave us a 4 hour private tour of the island -- she was just lovely...

Before dropping us back to the ship, Maria recommended a restaurant to us called "Sa Sancra"  This restaurant specializes in the local dish "paella' and told us we must try the "sangria"  a spanish drink made from a mixtuee of red wine, cognac, cointreau, seven-up, pieces of oranges and lemons and a whole lot of ice)  She even made the booking for us as!!!

So we came back on board to round up the others....

Well what a night we had!! Paco was our host and gave us the best table in the house, overlooking the whole of the bay... With large pans of  lobster paella, blind seafood paella and several jugs of sangria on our table -- we've never laughed so much (I think it had more to do with the sangria rather than the paella lol)

We jusr made it back to the boat by midnight before it sailed away for Barcelona...
