A Night in Mykonos...

We spent a wonderful afternoon and evening at Mykonos.  We went on shore as a group and explored the small picturesque island... had dinner at a beautiful Greek Tavern right on the beach...  Our host fed us the best seafood any of us had eaten...  We watched the sunset, ate great food and drank lots  -- when it was time for us to leave, our host handed us complimentary shotties...  (which was just what the boys needed to get their nerves up)

After dinner the boys had to find the perfect place to complete their "dare"  which had been set in Melbourne.  You see before we left , Joanna bought each of them a pair of Playboy G-Strings on the condition that when we arrived in Mykonos they had to parade in them!!!  Well here are the pics of their midnight romp!!!  (I'll probably be killed for posting these)

This morning we arrived in Santorini...  As there is no port the ship anchored in the bay and we were taken to the shore in small boats...

Once there, the village was way up on the mountain top and the only way to get there was chair lift, walking in the blazing heat :( or DONKEY!!!  We all overcame our "fear facor" and chose to travel by donkey...  Big mistake!!!

Once at the donkey station Franca chickened out and Joe and her walked it instead...

The whole time we were waiting I was trying to figure out how in hell I was going to get on my donkey  -- I struggled but with the help of 2 fat Greeks and Sandy I managed to scramnble on... No sooner was I on the donkeys back, when the Greek men gave him a huge whack on the back with a stick and he took off like grease lightning -- needless to say my screams could be heard from the mainland...

All the donkeys climbed up the mountain at a slowish pace but mine was definitely a V8 and turbo charged -- as the bugger overtook all the donkeys, smashing into the rock walls and prickly cactuses...  No doubt he wanted to get this over and done with :)

Hope you enjoy the photos -- I did have more but my iphone stopped working along the way...

Coming back down from the mountain we decided to walk it instead -- over 1000 slippery steps covered in donkey shit -- the stench was incredible...

Our next stop --- MYKONOS !!!

We just arrived at Katakolon, Greece...  (sorry no pictures yet as I had to stay on board -- still having problems with my feet :(     Will have to wait and see what adventures the nothers went on!!!

In the meantime I'm enjoying sitting on deck, by the pool, drinking strawberry daiquiris, in 32 degrees and waiting for the travellers to return xxx
Everything is so greand and luxurious aboard the MSC Musica -- it really is a modern day version of the Titanic.  Yesterday we arrived at our first port Bari and we travelled by coach to the very unique and quaint village of Albarobello.  As you can see it is as pretty as a picture xxx

On the way back to the ship we all placed our stickers on Joe's back without him noticing...  Poor Joe, even Franca didn't tell him...

All things must come to an end...

All things must come to an end and this goes for our 3 days in venice...  we left our hotel by water taxi bound for the nport where we boarded our "Titanic"  Goodbye Venice -- we had a magical time...

Another Gorgeous Day In Venice...

The trip across to the island of Murano was well worth it as we watched the talented craftsmen make the most beautiful glass pieces all by hand -- very interesting...

From there we went on to the island of Burano -- all the houses painted in all the colours of the rainbow...  The lace was expensive to buy -- it takes one woman, 5 hours a day for 4 months to make a small lace centrepierce and the price was around 1000 Euro!!!  Sorry bears no lace from Burano to dress you with!!!

Good morning Venice!!!!

Off to Murano and Burano today :)  Will also have to organize something with the communications department.  Limited mobile and internet service but we will get there...

Love to all our families and friends from the Saracinos, Frenis, Murganas, Atkinsons, Sawickis and Bonnanos...
We're finally here...

24 hours after flying out of Tullamarine we finally landed in Venice...  Flight was fantastic...  Much better than what I thought it would be!!!  Time went really fast and we even managed to sleep for a few hours...

Dubai was amazing but VERY VERY hot -- it was unbearable.  Thank God we were only there for a few hours...

On the last leg of the flight -- the plane was quite empty so we were all able to spread out...  I managed to set 5 pairs of eyes and embroider 5 noses on the bears I took to work on... yeh!!!

I'll post some pics of venice tomorrow -- but for now I need to go to bed -- my little legs are so sore and tired...  Thanks Sandra for the special stockings but my ankles swelled up anyway :(

Talk soon ...  Love Josey xxx

Our Pre-Union...
Not sure if such a word exists, but it is supposed to be the opposite to Reunion!!!!  Reunion being the "getting together after the event"...  Preunion the "getting together BEFORE the event" or just another excuse for a good feed and drink up!!!

Well this has been about the 5th Official Pre-Union we have had this year and it will probably be the last...  Next time this group of people come together will be at Tullamarine Airport in 10 days time...

Oops almost forgot...   Lena baked a cruise ship cake for the occasion, complete with Jelly Baby passengers!!!

and Joanna presented the men with a special gift -- something to bring out the "Raw European Stud" in each of them!!!
